All my life people told me I should believe in myself more and love myself more. I always guessed it has something to do with the fact that I was a very shy girl. As I grew older I’ve learned to really appreciate the importance of self-esteem and self-reinforcement, but to tell you the truth, I’ve never thought it has something to do with my appearance. Farther than that, I never imagined that believing in myself can actually improve my appearance. Surprisingly, here is what I’ve learned as I became older and wiser as they say.
Self-Esteem Is Beautiful
Each one of us projects to the environment a certain mood, a certain feeling or a certain “vibe” if you please, and that projection effects on the way people see us. And I discovered that self-esteem gets good reactions. Meaning, people see it as a beautiful quality. Now, there’s a fine line between being self-confident and being cocky so it is important to know the difference.
Love Yourself
When you love yourself more, you know to compliment yourself when it’s due and to encourage yourself when needed. When you believe in yourself you’re becoming aware of the power you have, and you can actually do more and accordingly, achieve more. Also, when you love yourself you invest in yourself, be it a new dress or a nurturing skin care cream, and as a result you look better. When you get to the point when you look in the mirror and you look good in YOUR OWN EYES, that is the point when you should know you’re doing it right!
Be Happier
When you are confident, loving yourself and believing in yourself, you turn to be happier. And when we’re happier we’re unintentionally speared it around us. When we’re happier our body reacts to it, be it our glowing skin or our simply positive attitude. We smile more, we know how to compliment ourselves and so it is easier for us to compliment others as well, and that makes us more attractive to our environment. So, go ahead speared the joy around!
